Sean Kanan plays Mike Barnes in Karate Kid The universe, and after appearing in Cobra Kai, he says he has a plan for a spinoff.
During an interview with Mind Blowing Films, he said he would like to be paired with his Costar Yuji Okumoto, who plays Chozen, for a friend comedy where they “teach karate during the day and work as detectives at night,” which he thinks would be “a lot of fun.”
“I think it would be incredible, I would very much like to do it. I thought it would be a bit funny if you had Chozen and Mike Barnes as roommates together, and Mike Barnes is really clean and Chozen is like a mess and a dull,” he said.
The actor continued, “and they are two guys trying to navigate the dating scene of 50 years old. Maybe they teach karate during the day and work as detectives at night.”
“I think it would be a lot of fun to do any kind of spinoff. I would be incredibly honored and excited about something similar. Who knows?” Sean concluded.
