Indiana Fever’s head coach Stephanie White did not chopped words as she shared her thoughts of functioning in WNBA, following Saturday’s game where Caitlin Clark LED a quad injury that sidelines the star guard for at least two weeks.

Apparently, the strong remarks landed white in some problems with the league.

After The fever Lithed a disappointing loss against Washington Mystics in the team’s first match without Clark, White was asked during Postgame presses if she thought the league should step in to protect top players from “intentionally rough play.”

“Obviously, I think we can get better in certain areas, as far as we call the game, consistency with how we call the game … Would we say we want a free -flowing offensive game, or will we have a tough, grinding of physical games? And whatever it is, the players will adapt, and the coaches will adapt, but we can not have a way a way a way a way and another

She continued, “I do not collectively think as a whole that the league has to step in and do something, I just think there should be some improvements in certain areas.”

But when they were pushed further into what these areas had to be, White revealed that her previous remarks – probably on Saturday night – resulted in her receiving a fine.

“Are we trying to get me fine again? Because I was just fine,” she said with a smirk.

White did not elaborate further but that fine probably came from her comments after Saturday’s loss to New York Liberty.

“I think it’s pretty creepy what happened to us the last four games, you know, a minus-31 free-throwing,” White said, adding that she thought Clark was fined in the game. “And I might understand it if we just chuckled 3s. But we’re not. We are attacking the edge and the disrespect right now for our team has been pretty incredible.”

White said on Monday she was not sure when Clark was sustained the damage exactly.

“Sometimes good players don’t tell you when they hurt,” she said. “I’m glad she did it because we have to nip this in the bud.”
