Islamabad:
On Thursday, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) referred the case of illegal appointments in Pakistan Post to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), referring to serious irregularities in recruitment practices that exceeded approved advertising.
The PAC session was led by Junaid Akbar Khan.
During the meeting, PAC formed a fifth subcommittee under the presidency of Moeen Pirzada to tackle many years of revision.
The committee, while reviewing the audit report from the Communications Department of the Fiscal Year 2023-24, expressed dissatisfaction with the absence of the National Highway Authority (NHA) chairman. The communication secretary explained that the chairman was engaged in another important meeting.
