A senior Democrat in the House of Representatives, Jamie Raskin, joined his name to legislators who sought answers about President Donald Trump’s recent dinner for top investors in his Memecoin and sent questions directly to Trump.
Raskin, the ranking Democrat of the House Judiciary Committee, has been a vocal critic of the president and becomes the latest of many from his party to investigate details of the event that they have called proof of corruption in the White House. Because Raskin is in the Minority Party, his demands are unlikely to lead to further congressional actions unless they regain the house or Senate at next year’s election.
“I am writing today to demand that you release the names of all the participants at this dinner and give information about the source of the money they each used to buy $ Trump coins so that we can prevent illegal foreign governments from being pocketed without a congress,” Raskin wrote this week to the president who joined many counterparts in the Senate in Senate, including Senators, and Richard, rich and rich.
“We deserve to know who pays for access to our president and what steps you took to make sure the funds you receive are legitimate and legal, rather than the revenue from foreign states or monarchs or illegal activities,” said Rasking, specifically highlights the Tron founder Justin Sun, a guest who was a big early investor in Trump’s family crypt operations.
