Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers have been linked to several months in free agency, but that does not mean that a union is imminent.
Rodgers, 41, has reportedly not given Steelers any guarantee he will sign with the team.
Rodgers “have not affirmedly told Steelers to come,” NFL Networks Tom Pelissero said during a recent performance at “The Rich Eisen Show.”

The four-time NFL MVP said he has not closed the door at retirement.
“I am open to something and attached to nothing. Retirement can still be an option, but right now my focus is and has been and will continue to be on my personal life.… There are still conversations that are being had,” Rodgers said at “The Pat McAfee Show” in April.
“I’m in a different phase of my life. I’m 41 years old. I’m in a serious relationship. I have off-the-Field things that require my attention. I have personal obligations I have committed not to know what my future would look like for last year that are important to me.
“And I have a few people in my inner, inner circle who really struggle for some difficult things. So I have a lot of things that take my attention – and have really started in January – away from football.”

Volunteer Offseason practice is underway, but it is back to see if Rodgers decides to play football and sign with Steelers or whether he will decide to call it a career after 20 seasons.
With the New York Jets last season, Rodgers threw 3,987 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 games.
Steelers last season went 10-7 with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields as their starting quarterbacks. However, Wilson and Fields left in free agency.

Fields left to Jets and Wilson traveled to New York Giants.
Steelers have three quarterbacks on their list-Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and the sixth round draft of Will Howard.
