The Pakistani Navy has successfully completed a two-day exercise aimed at counteracting sub-conventional and asymmetrical threats in all major ports and ports across the country, according to a statement from Pakistan Navy.

The exercises were designed to test and refine tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to ensure a robust defense of critical maritime infrastructure in the light of developing threats.

The exercise involved coordinated operations by the Pakistan Navy fleet, Pakistan Marines, Special Service Group (Navy) and Naval Aviation Units. Scenarios included sabotage, infiltration and unconventional attacks with the goal of improving inter-agency coordination, situation awareness and rapid responsiveness.

Commander Coast’s back Admiral Faisal Amin visited operational sites during the exercises and observed live-action simulations. He praised the participants for their high level of readiness and professionalism.

“Safe function of gates and ports is directly linked to national economic stability and growth,” said Bagadmiral Amin, emphasizing the strategic significance of maritime installations.

The Pakistani Navy confirmed its obligation to maintain a high state of operational emergency preparedness and to strengthen its capacity to defend maritime borders against new security challenges.
