Netflix has finally announced the release dates for the highly expected fifth and last season of Stranger Things.
According to the streaming giant, the last rate of the sci-fi series is released in three parts late in the year. The first part presents on November 26 and the second 1st Christmas Day.
However, the big final of the show will hit Netflix on New Year’s Eve.
The debut dates for the series were announced on Saturday on Netflix’s Tudum Fan event in Los Angeles.
Recently, Stranger Things Producer Ross Duffer said of the last series, “We spent a whole year filming this season. At the end we had caught over 650 hours of footage.”
He also said, “so it is unnecessary to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty insane.”
Ross’ brother Matt Duffer added, “At the same time we think it’s our most personal story. It was super -intensive and emotional to film – for us and for our actors. We’ve been doing this show together for almost 10 years. There was a lot of crying. There was so much crying.”
“The show means so much to all of us, and everyone puts their hearts and souls in it. And we hope – and believe – that passion will translate into the screen,” he continued.
