Prince Harry has apparently taken a ‘drastic step’ towards the royal family, and the move has been called ‘clear gesture of animosity.’
This has noticed by the royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams while speaking to Daily Express, per. GB News.
He said King Charles will be very wounded by Harry’s attempt to change his last name.
The royal expert said to the publication, “Someone’s last name is a central and public link to the other family members.”
He continued to say that the Duke’s desire to drop a name shared by his father King Charles and Brother Prince William among other members of the royal family would therefore have been a “clear gesture of enmity”.
Richard Fitzwilliams believes the news would have come as a “deeply hurtful” revelation to Harry’s father.
The royal expert continued, “The king will be horrified that his youngest son has considered such a drastic step.”
He continued to say that Prince Harry’s trait will only have served to “expand the royal rift” between him and the rest of the royal family, since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as a working royal in 2020.
