Islamabad:
Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) hosted a seminar entitled “Assessment of Renewed Security Challenges for CPEC Post-Indo-Pak scaling.”
The event gathered prominent practitioners, diplomats, decision makers, experts, academics and intelligentsia, who collectively spoke for strategic regional alliances, robust internal reforms, economic resilience, advanced security infrastructure and proactive diplomatic commitments to overcome current and appear challenges to China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Pakistan’s previous envoy to China, Naghmana Hashmi, linked increased terrorism with wider geopolitical tensions, especially Western concerns about China’s rise.
Analysis of how recent Indo-Pak scales removed myths around India’s military dominance, prompting Western powers to rethink their strategic dependence on India, she called for extensive internal reforms, especially by tackling socio-economic complaints in Balochistan.
Major General (Retd) Dr. Samrez Salik, with a Ph.D. At CPEC, Pakistan’s critical transformation from a security center emphasized to an economically driven state, addicted significantly of CPEC’s success.
