After months of rumors, Square Enix has officially announced a remaster of his classic from 1997, Final Fantasy Tactics.
Revealed during the June PlayStation State of Play, Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles Must be launched on September 30 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
This improved version is created by a team composed of original and new developers. It includes all the features of the 1997 game along with several improvements.
Ivalice Chronicles Offers a revised user interface to “make the game even more accessible and intuitive”, as well as faster and easier for players to control their devices and see their tour order.
Since it is a remaster, the game’s graphics have also been updated to HD screens, new difficulty levels have been introduced, and two new combat features have also been added: tactical viewing and combat speed.
Tactical views will make it easier for players to get an overview of the country and plan their action across the battlefield, while combat speed essentially speeds up the battles to allow players to get through easy matches faster.

Square Enix has confirmed that Ivalice Chronicles will also include the classic version of Final Fantasy Tacticswhich “stays true to the original in almost every aspect, but includes some practical features such as Auto Save.”
