Summer Game Party 2025 Live Building: Where to see and all you need to know before Geoff Keighley Showcase

Xbox has sent a small tongue-in-kind teaser about what is going to appear in the Xbox Games Showcase …

As you could expect we will see lots and lots of games – followed by a look at The outer worlds 2Of course.

Continue with my Xbox Games exhibition predictions, I expect some new hardware to reveal as well.

I would be shocked if we don’t get news about a new Xbox handheld as rumors have suggested that you have been in the works for a while now. Instead of something made by Microsoft, I expect a licensed handheld from another manufacturer – potentially a portable fire like ASUS or Lenovo.

There may also be a new Xbox controller revealed. I really really want a new Xbox Elite Controller – as Elite Series 2 is seriously dated at this time. I don’t want to get into why I don’t think it’s worth the price in 2025 (you can read all about it in my ‘Here’s why you shouldn’t buy an Xbox Elite Series 2’ up-ED from last year if you’re curious) but an update is definitely needed.

Hopefully we will soon get an Elite Series 3 message …

What will we see in Xbox Game Showcase?

Apart from the main show, the subsequent Xbox Games is easily one of the biggest summer game party events. What do I think will be in store this year?

When it comes to games I expect another look at Gears of War: Reloadedwhich was announced last month. Some more news about State of decay 3Which has been in the works for years now, is certainly also likely that I think – it’s been so long that I would be shocked if we don’t get more info.

I also expect (and hope personally) on a trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones and the big circle DLC. I was a big fan of the base game, so would love a good reason like this to dive back in.

I know what you all wonder about. Is Geoff Keighley even real?

He may seem like a bit of a mythical figure, but I can confirm that he actually exists. I’ve even met him! He participated in one of the famous, only VIP games after parties last year with other industry mounds … and me.

It’s not just Geoff ….

Keighley is possibly the most prominent face at the Summer Game Party, but that doesn’t mean he’s the only presenter at the event.

He has recently taken to social media to advertise his co-host for the main show: Lucy James. James is a prominent face in video content for both GameSpot and Giant Bomb, so it seems like a very strong choice.

Who is Geoff Keighley?

If you are interested in Summer Game Fest, you have undoubtedly heard the name Geoff Keighley more times than you can count. But who is he exactly?

A former gaming journalist turned present, Keighley had a strong career of writing for business like Kotaku and Gamestopmainly focus on long -shaped depths in larger games and studios.

He also often appeared on TV and became a prominent face at events like E3.

Now he controls his own events and shows that act as both host and organizer – including the Game Awards and Summer Game Party.

Although separated from the main show – yesterday’s PlayStation Sate of Play presentation was part of the Summer Game Party. I covered the event live (absolutely observed my sleep plan in the process) and it was definitely a strong view.
