A’s Broadcast shows the torque fan wearing ‘sell’ jersey was confronted with certainty

They simply go by the athletics now that the team, previously stationed in Oakland, will soon plant their roots in Las Vegas.

Currently, the team is playing their games in Sutter Health Park, a smaller league field in Sacramento, while the transition to Las Vegas continues to run its course. As a result, there is a large part of the team’s fanbase that remains unhappy with ownership of moving to Sin City instead of continuing to play in Oakland.

Well, a fan decided to make his presence known under the team’s first name show Thursday ahead of match-up with Minnesota Twins. He wore a t-shirt that read, “Sell.”

While the pregame show was going on, this fan was quickly confronted with a Sutter Health Park Security Guard, and several team and field officials followed quickly.

It was all caught on the live broadcast.

Joe Horton identified on social media as that man, and he noticed that security allowed him to stay in his seat to the game after talking to them. He told awful advertising that sent the pregame clips on X that this was “not my first rodeo.”

“When they show up, I think all the time – do you know this is on TV, right?” Horton replied to X.

Horton even had fun on X that he put a screenshot of himself in the background of the pregame-show desk surrounded by safety and white-polo-stubborn officials.

“See how many friends I made today,” he wrote screen.

Fans like Horton remain the cross of A’s owner John Fisher, who leads the transition to Las Vegas. Similar t-shirts, characters and flags were seen at Oakland Coliseum last season as the team’s home matches started to subside when the schedule ended.

Athletics play in Sacramento for at least the next few seasons, as the team’s new ballpark in Las Vegas will not be ready until 2028 at the earliest.

So fans like Horton continue to express their opinion on Fisher’s movements, and it is clear that a good part of the fan base wants him out of baseball. He doesn’t seem to be inclined to do so.

Athletics remain a very young team with some budding talent, including Brent Rooker, Tyler Soderstrom, Jacob Wilson and Lawrence Butler, among others. They go 24-40 on Thursday, which is last in Al West Division.
