Prime Minister for Krypto and Blockchain Bilal Bin Saqib thanked New York City Mayor Eric Adams for his efforts on the crypto ecosystem in the meeting discussing the prospect of a collaboration between NYC and Pakistan Crypto Councils, The news Reported Saturday

Saqib and Mayor Adams showed a symbolic show of digital unit at a meeting on Friday with discussion held at the former official residence, Gracie Mansion.

During this meeting, the minister suggested that Pakistan Crypto Council be willing to work with New York City to work on crypto regulation and innovation as both governments increase efforts to shape the future of web3.

He also invited the NYC mayor to visit Pakistan, as Adams said, “We consider New York as a Lahore”.

New York and Pakistan have each launched dedicated cryptic calls to promote responsible growth in the digital asset sector. The meeting marked a step towards direct cooperation between the two advice with plans to develop knowledge sharing, capacity building and political advisory initiatives.

Discussions also affected shared legislative challenges and the need for inclusive digital infrastructure in both new and developed economies.

The meeting coincided with Mayor Adams’ Eid greetings to Muslim communities. With more than 800,000 Muslim residents, New York City is home to one of the largest Muslim populations in the United States. The meeting served as both a cultural gesture and a NIKK for common ambitions in the evolving global tech landscape.

Saqib’s visit to Gracie Mansion completed his official US tour, which focused on blockchain innovation, public-private partnerships and international crypto collaboration.

In his week-long visit to the United States, the Prime Minister gave discussions with Senator Cynthia Lummis, co-author of major crypto-acquisition legislation in the United States, as well as senators Bill Hagty, Rick Scott, Tim Sheehy and Jim Justice and several supports to designate Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset.

Meetings were also held with representatives Troy Downing, Ryan Zinke, Rick McCormick and Derrick van Order, all involved in the design of digital asset policy. Saqib was in the United States to attend the Bitcoin 2025 conference held in Las Vegas, where he revealed the country’s first ever, government-led strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
