Brad Marchand had the potential game -winning goal for quite a long time – when it was snapped away from him, he compensated for it.

The reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers equalized the final on Friday night with Marchand’s double-over-over-goal, giving Cats a 5-4 win in Game 2 against Edmonton Oilers.

After scoring three goals during the first 12:37 pm of the game, Edmonton could no longer find the back of the net.

In desperation mode and down 4-3, Oilers Stuart shines from the net with 2:33 back in regulation, which seemed early, but with the puck in the second zone on a faceoff they could benefit. And they did.

With 17.8 seconds left, a puck was loose in front, and 40-year-old Corey Perry squeezed it home to tie the game on four. After allowing a target of three of his first seven shots, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped each of the next 24 before allowing the one who sent the competition for overtime.

Both teams had their chances of overtime, especially Panthers, who hit the post of a shot and got an outbreak, but both teams became blank. With just over eight minutes into the second overtime period, Marchand did it again, creaked one of the rails on an interruption and gave Florida a huge victory.

Wayne Gretzky Salver Oilers Star Connor McDavid The next big one: ‘He is the best player in hockey’

Like Games 1, the scoring began early – this time with Florida Panthers scoring first.

Sam Bennett, who fought for his own teammate Matthew Tkachuk’s brother in 4 nations, while joining Edmontons Connor McDavid, found the back of the net just two minutes into the game, but about five minutes later Evander Kane scored an equalization.

Edmonton came on Power Play and scored again, but Florida answered right back to tie the game at 1 p.m. 2 p.m. 11:37. During another power play, Leon Draisaitl scored to give Oilers a 3-2 lead, closing five goals in the game’s first 13 minutes.

While Oilers’ violation is cooled in the other, Florida did not. Dmitry Kulikov paved it up 8:23 in the period, and Marchand gave Florida the lead with a short -handed goal four minutes later. The 4-3 Panthers lead held until Perry’s miraculous goals late in the third.

The hero of Marchand was an acquisition of the trade deadline, which is almost literally traded from his former long -time Boston Bruins down south in the last minutes. The deal was worth it.

Game 3 takes place on Monday night back in Florida, which has hosted a cup last game for three consecutive years.
