PM, President is expanding Eid-Ul-Adha-Halves, calling for Unit and Victims

Eid-Ul-Adha is celebrated today with religious zeal and innerness to commemorate the supreme victim of the Prophet Ibrahim (As) and the Prophet Ismail (AS) and calls for compassion and national unity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Army Staff (Coas) and Field Marshal General Asim Munir extended crimes to the country and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Adha. He urged the people to show unity as he confronted internal economic and social challenges as they did when the nation stood firm on the basis of external threats. “We need to bring together our resources to make our country strong, prosperous and self -sufficient,” he said. “We need to prioritize national interest in personal interest.”

Shehbaz expressed deep concern about the suffering of the people of Palestine and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and repeated Pakistan’s unwavering support for their right to self -determination. “We will always be their voice and will support their big fight.”

The Prime Minister asked for national strength, real happiness and the ability to act in accordance with the true spirit of victims and selflessness.

Large congregations were held for Eid beans at mosques, Eidgahs, Imambargahs and open space nationwide.

In Lahore, Eid beans were led by the Council of Islamic Ideology President Raghib Naeemi in Darul Uloom Jamia Naeemi. Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar said that Special Police and Quick Response Force (QRF) team had been deployed throughout the province. In Lahore alone, over 6,000 officers were allocated to secure more than 5,000 prayer collections.

In Rawalpindi, 604 mosques, 72 Imambargahs and 62 open spaces hosting Eid convenience, with 2,700 police personnel providing security.

In Karachi, Eid beans were offered at various mosques in the city. Priests across the country provided sermons of the spiritual and philosophical significance of the Prophet Ibrahim’s (as) offering.

Special prayers were also offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, National Development and the Well -being of the Palestinians and Kashmiris.

In Hyderabad and the surrounding areas, more than 1,000 small and large prayer collections were organized. Many residents visited cemeteries after Eid beans to offer Fateha to deceased dear before they started sacrificing expensive.

In Peshawar, great congregations took place in central Eidgah and various neighborhoods, reflecting the same spirit of solemnity and unity.

Millions of citizens will continue to sacrifice for the next two days, fulfilling Sunnah of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and sharing flesh with the underprivileged.

Municipal authorities have deployed special teams for the disposal of sanitation and waste and are working to ensure rapid removal of offal and solid waste to maintain cleanliness in urban and rural areas.
