Eid-Ul-Adha is celebrated today with religious zeal and innerness to commemorate the supreme victim of the Prophet Ibrahim (As) and the Prophet Ismail (AS) and calls for compassion and national unity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Army Staff (Coas) and Field Marshal General Asim Munir extended crimes to the country and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Adha. They called for national unity, compassion and collective sacrifice to overcome challenges at home and abroad.
PM Shehbaz congratulated Muslims all over the globe and paid tribute to the spirit of devotion and selflessness demonstrated by the Prophet Ibrahim (as) and the Prophet Ismail (as).

“These blessed days remind us of the exemplary faithfulness and sacrifice of the prophet Ibrahim (as) and the Prophet Ismail (AS),” he said, adding that their submission to Allah’s will had been raised to an act of worship.

The essence of Eidul Adha goes beyond animal sacrifices, he said. “The message from Eidul Adha teaches us to sacrifice ourselves, our wishes and our interests for greater goals.”
Shehbaz observed that the properties of patience, courage and altruism are important to a country’s progress. “Today, our beloved land is Pakistan on its way to progress, and at this moment we have to embrace the spirit of solidarity and victims.”
He urged the people to show unity as he confronted internal economic and social challenges as they did when the nation stood firm on the basis of external threats. With reference to Pakistan’s response to recent Indian aggression, he reminded that the country had shown unshakable determination when defending his and the sovereign dignity.
“We need to bring together our resources to make our country strong, prosperous and self -sufficient,” he said. “We need to prioritize national interest in personal interest.”

Shehbaz expressed deep concern about the suffering of the people of Palestine and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and repeated Pakistan’s unwavering support for their right to self -determination. “We will always be their voice and will support their big fight.”
The Prime Minister asked for national strength, real happiness and the ability to act in accordance with the true spirit of victims and selflessness.
Similarly, President Zardari also expanded his heartfelt congratulations to the nation and the wider Muslim community, calling Eidul Adha a reminder of obedience, devotion and fraternity.
“This day, in us, revives the spirit of faith, sacrifices, selflessness and unity. May this eid be a source of blessings, peace and prosperity for our country and the Muslim Ummah, Ameen.”

The president highlighted the victims of the Prophet Ibrahim (as) and the Prophet Ismail (AS) as timeless lessons of loyalty and submission to the divine will.

He emphasized the importance of integrating these values into daily life. “Eid encourages us to give a solemn promise to always care for those who need – whether poor, sick or poor.”
Zardari urged the nation to support each other, especially they underprivileged and promote love and fraternity while eliminating hatred and prejudice.

“As a nation, we have to share in each other’s grief and work together to build a prosperous and large Pakistan. Let us confirm our commitment to national harmony and the collective good,” he said, asking for unity and strength for the country and Muslims worldwide.
The military’s top brass also expanded Eid greetings to the people. According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the armed forces offered prayers of sustained peace, prosperity and national cohesion in the country.
Coas and Field Marshal General Munir, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the staff committee, head of naval staff and head of Airstaff, expanded all their fecilitations to the people.
They praised the resistance of the Pakistani people and greeted the bravery of the armed forces, law enforcement and citizens who continue to defend the security and stability of the nation. The military leadership recognized Eidul Adha as a time for reflection, victims and unity and urged all Pakistanis to use this opportunity to promote harmony and strengthen the nation’s drug.

Parties in sincerity
Eidul Adha is celebrated today with religious sincerity and reverence, as millions of Muslims gather for prayers and perform victims to memory of the Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion (as).

Large congregations were held for Eid beans at mosques, Eidgahs, Imambargahs and open space nationwide.
In Islamabad, worshipers offered Eid beans in the Shah Faisal mosque and other larger places where special prayers were also made for the armed forces, national unity and the country’s progress and prosperity.
In Lahore, Eid beans were led by the Council of Islamic Ideology President Raghib Naeemi in Darul Uloom Jamia Naeemi. A large collective victim has been arranged at the seminar, where 180 animals were sacrificed on the first day. A total of 300 victims are planned over three days. Similar events were taken in other parts of the city.

Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar said that Special Police and Quick Response Force (QRF) team had been deployed throughout the province. In Lahore alone, over 6,000 officers were allocated to secure more than 5,000 prayer collections.

In Rawalpindi, 604 mosques, 72 Imambargahs and 62 open spaces hosting Eid convenience, with 2,700 police personnel providing security.
In Karachi, Eid beans were offered at various mosques in the city. Priests across the country provided sermons of the spiritual and philosophical significance of the Prophet Ibrahim’s (as) offering.
Special prayers were also offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, National Development and the Well -being of the Palestinians and Kashmiris.
In Hyderabad and the surrounding areas, more than 1,000 small and large prayer collections were organized. Many residents visited cemeteries after Eid beans to offer Fateha to deceased dear before they started sacrificing expensive.
In Peshawar, great congregations took place in central Eidgah and various neighborhoods, reflecting the same spirit of solemnity and unity.

There were strict security measures in place nationwide with police, rankers and other law enforcement authorities on high alarm to ensure security during prayers and sacrifice activities.

Millions of citizens will continue to sacrifice for the next two days, fulfilling Sunnah of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and sharing flesh with the underprivileged.
Municipal authorities have deployed special teams for the disposal of sanitation and waste and are working to ensure rapid removal of offal and solid waste to maintain cleanliness in urban and rural areas.
