Patrick wrote on Instagram on Sunday that she thought “common sense will prevail.”

“But until then I am grateful to people like Riley Gaines who make sure no one gets rid of it. Not to mention the fact that she actually lived it,” she wrote through the New York Post.

“To defend men in women’s sports is the waking mind virus and/or any other problem that requires therapy. Whatever it is so irrational.”

Biles triggered the feud with Gaines Friday night.

Simone Biles is not aware of what she admits about trans women in her positions, says Riley Gaines

“@Riley_gaines_ You are really sick, all this campaign because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser,” wrote Biles on X. “You need to uplift the trans community and maybe find a way to do sports inclusive or create a new Avenue where Trans feel safe in sports. Maybe an urge category in all sports !!

“But instead … You are bullying them … One thing is definitely that no one in sports is safe with you around !!!!!”

Gaines responded to Biles’ attack.

“This is so disappointing. My roof is the least controversial acquisition of the planet,” wrote Gaines in response to Biles’ post. “Simone Biles is a man-apologist at the expense of young girls’ dreams? Didn’t have it on my bingo card.
