That said, DAY takes risks on the field with its fashion sense. At the forefront of the US Open, he had the perfect shorts in the field of practice that fans seemed to love.

Day sported a full American flag on his shorts to go with a navy blue malbon -polo containing red and white striping and a custom flag on the armpit.

“What a fit from Jason Day,” twited golf.com’s claire rogers.

But day did not finish showing his American spirit. He shot with a Malbon White Pullover who had stars on the collar and another custom malbon flag on a arm sleeve.

The Malbon team would definitely celebrate America in front of the season’s third major.

While Day may be best dressed at Oakmont Country Club, he hopes to tame what is expected to be a rough course layout.

Rough in Oakmont has become viral like DAY’s outfits to be long and treacherous for participants this week. Whether in the fairway or around the green, players must be precise with each shot, even more than usual, to be able to score.

The Greens have also proven to be a challenge in practice rounds, with short putts flying past the hole if it has missed due to angling.

Day has not yet won a tournament this year, but he has three top 10 finishes. He has a major under his belt and won the PGA championship in 2015. The closest he has come to win a major since then was 2023 Open Championship, where he ended tied to the other.

Today’s best finish in the US Open came in 2011 and 2013, when he was also number two.
