Islamabad:
The government has proposed considerable relief for the sectors of property and construction in the federal budget for 2025-26, including cutting in the withholding tax rate on property purchases and the abolition of the federal excise duty (bold) by transferring commercial properties, land and houses.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb revealed the budget in the National Assembly on Tuesday night. He announced a reduction in the stamp tax on the purchase of property in Islamabad. He also announced tax credit facility to promote mortgage loan financing.
