- Passhrough Audio -Setting comes to TVOS 26
- It’s in the sound frames but developers have to use it
- TVOS 26 is expected later in the year
Apple’s Tvos doesn’t get as much attention under WWDC as the larger selling products like iPhone, which means it usually takes a few days for some of the most interesting Apple TV news to show up even over the top five TVOS 26 feature you need to know about. And that is the case this year because an important sound change is coming to tvos that was not mentioned during the event.
Appleinsider reports that there is a new reference to the Apple Developer documentation to Avfaudio, which has a “Pashrough” setting. Avfaudio is Apple’s framework for playback, recording and treatment of audio on tvos as well as iOS, macos and watchos.
Appleinsides have apparently checked in with Apple and Apple has confirmed that yes, there will be a fulfilled in the tvos upgrade. And that’s a big change for serious sound equipment.
Why pashrogh was sought after by hardcore home -biograffans
When you use a streaming app on Apple TV, whether it’s Apple’s own Apple TV+, Netflix, Prime Video or one of the best streaming services, the audio covering and the first treatment of your Apple TV before you are broadcast to your system-so even if you really have high-end home theater hardware at the end of your HDMI, you are tightening the Apple’s Processed Audio like your input.
Apple TV’s audio processing is really good: I often burst into a laugh when there is a particularly impressive bit of atmos action. But height-spec hardware is likely to be even better, so it’s good to have the opportunity to let this hardware handle 100% of audio treatment instead of leaving it to Apple.
This is not limited to Apple TV; The same frame handles the sound of iPhones, Macs and even Apple Watches. But of course, it’s on Apple TV, where it probably means the most, so you can pass on the raw audio data to a beef AV receiver.
For now, the review is only one option: it may be within the framework, but it is up to developers to implement it in their apps, or for Apple to make it selected in the Apple TV settings; So far, the latter option is not in the developer’s beta of TVOS 26, but would perhaps be the ideal end result.
