Houston Texans Security Jimmie Ward was arrested in Texas early Thursday morning due to a crime allegations, according to online prison registers.
Ward, 33, was arrested around 2 p.m. 05:30 Local time and booked in Montgomery County Prison. He was accused of assault on a family member by preventing breathing or circulation, which is a third -degree crime.

The Texans said in a statement that they are aware of the reports around Ward’s arrest.
“We gather more information and have no additional comments at this time,” the statement reads, Via Espn.

The Houston Chronicle reported that the incident took place in the NFL player’s home in Magnolia. No further details about the alleged assault became immediately known.

Ward spent most of his career playing for San Francisco 49ers. In nine seasons with the organization he recorded seven interceptions and 451 tackles over 106 games.
He went into the 2023 season as a free agent before signing a two-year-old $ 13 million deal.

Ward signed a one -year contract extension worth $ 10.5 million before the start of last season. In two seasons with the Texans, Ward appeared in 20 matches and recorded three interceptions and 98 tackles.
