Coinbase for launch

Crypto Exchange Coinbase plans to launch a credit card that offers Bitcoin

Cashback, the company said Thursday.

The Coinbase One card, issued in partnership with American Express, includes perks, such as earning 4% in BTC after purchase, increased rewards on USDC StableCoin Holdings and higher stack wages and transaction credit on the base, Ethereum Layer-2 network developed by Exchange, according to the card’s site. The roll -out of the card is expected in the fall.

The move comes as more crypto platforms and exchanges roll out debit cards to allow users to use their blockchain-based token stash on everyday purchase. For example, self -defense wallet introduced Metamask its debit card last year, while MasterCard revealed plans in April to launch payment cards with crypto exchange OKX and Kraken.

Nor is it the first crypto endeavor for AMEX: The company issued a credit card offering crypto rewards with ABRA in 2022.

Coinbas’s message coincided with the company’s State of Crypto Summit event in New York, where the exchange also suggested expanding Perpetual Futures trade to the United States, according to media reports.

Perps-trade has been limited to non-American users at Coinbase Advance. However, earlier this year, the exchange said in a blog post that it worked with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) against making “Futures Contracts in Evidence Style” available to American users.
