PMDC introduces new MDCAT -Pensum

Islamabad:

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) uploaded the new syllabus to Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 on its official website Thursday, which would serve as a core framework for the upcoming study.

The new syllabus includes five key people – biology, chemistry, physics, English and logical reasoning – focusing on conceptual understanding and critical thinking. PMDC urged hopeful students to begin their preparations according to the recently issued syllabus plan.

The last date of the MDCAT exams was probably announced within a few days of consultations with admission universities. The samples are probably held either on the last Sunday in September or the first Sunday in October 2025.

The test will consist of a total of 180 questions about multiple choices (MCQs)-categorized as 15% light, 70% moderate and 15% difficult-off would be answered in three hours, said a statement, while defining structure, weight and difficulty levels for exam. “No negative marking will be used.”

According to the statement, candidates must obtain at least 55% grades to qualify for admission to medical colleges and 50% grades for admission to dental schools.
