Edmonton fights back from 3 goals down in front of Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce

Edmonton Oilers Bottled the Stanley Cup final on two matches a piece with a fantastic comeback overtime victory over Florida Panthers, 5-4, in sunrise Thursday. And Panthers did it in front of a celebrity audience with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, which highlighted the crowd.

Edmonton’s Leon Draisaitl scored the winning target of overtime to hood one back and forth thriller. It was Draisaitl’s fourth overtime goal of the Stanley Cup end game that broke the NHL record for most people in a single postal season. Draisaitl also scored the winning goal of overtime in game 1.

Oilers overcame an early three-goal deficit in the most dramatic game of the series so far.

Panthers took a commanding 3-0 lead in the first period of two goals by Matthew Tkachuk and one of Anton Lundell.

But Oilers took less than a period of time to tie it up with three goals of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Vasily Podkolzin and Darnell Nurse in the other.

Then the game froze, with the teams playing on a stalemate that enters the third period. That stalemate lasted more than halfway into the third period until Oilers defender Jake Walman finally broke a draw with a goal of just under 7 minutes to regulate.

And then, with less than 20 seconds to go, Panthers tied it back on a dramatic goal by Sam Reinhart and sent the game to overtime.

Nothing hold fucking in the first 11 minutes of the extra period, but then the draisaitl broke through to the ice cream played and even up in the series of the 8:42 mark.

The series will return to Edmonton with Game 5 on Saturday.
