Caitlin Clark is expected to make her highly expected return to the WNBA hard tree when the Indiana fever hosts the undefeated New York Liberty on Saturday afternoon.

Clark strained a quadriceps during the fever’s 90-88 loss to freedom 24 May and was originally expected to miss two weeks. She has been sidelined in five matches over a period of three weeks.

But it doesn’t seem like Clark’s shooting skills were reduced during her time away from competition.

Shortly after Fever announced that Clark was cleared to play this weekend, the team shared a video of the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, draining a shot from the team’s logo under Friday’s pre -group Halfcourt competition.

“CC locked inside,” the team wrote on X.

Clark celebrated by swinging a practice shirt in the air and jokingly instructing his Indiana teammates to “go crying about it.”

While the fever gave Clark the green light to return to action on Saturday, it remains unclear how much playing time she gets. Clark told journalists that she has been working back from an injury in the last few weeks.

“It’s definitely been a process,” she said. “I think the hardest part is when you get really good and it’s just a process of working yourself back to actually getting up and down and getting out there with my teammates

In an Instagram post on Friday, the fever wrote, “She’s back … Caitlin Clark is ready to play tomorrow against New York.”

Fever -head coach Stephanie White said on Monday that the team was ready for Clark to start “ramping up again”, but she did not say if Clark had been cleared for basketball activities. White added Thursday that Clark and Sophie Cunningham, who have been sidelined since May 30, had “limited” reps during the exercise.

Clark average 19 points, 9.3 assists and six rebounds in four games this season.
