Battagram:
An unidentified man on a motorcycle shot and killed a police constable at a petrol pump in the Batttagram area late Friday night.
According to police, the suspected fire opened against the constable and fled from the stage immediately after committing the crime. They added that Constable Ghulam Ishaq, a resident of Pazzang, Allai, fueled his motorcycle at a petrol pump in the Maidan Battagtram area when the suspect who had chased him opened fire in a close range.
The constable collapsed on the spot and succumbed to his injuries.
After the incident, a heavy quota of the Battagram police, along with a large number of local residents, reached the crime scene. The body was moved to a nearby hospital for Post-Mortem and later handed over to the victim’s family for burial in his original village.
Police have sealed all output routes and created control points in an attempt to understand the defendant. According to Fir Lodged of the victim’s family, a rival party from the same village was allegedly involved in an ongoing dispute whether a girl has been named in the case.
