Rawalpindi:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) organizations have announced a hunger strike camp outside the presidency, Governor House and Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom to protest against allowing friends, business partners, relatives and householders in the workers to meet President Asif Zardari on the presidency.
OPP organizations have also announced a major protest demonstration at Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom. The decision was made by PPP workers, Peoples Students Federation, Peoples Labor Bureau, Peoples Trader Cell and PPP Women’s Wing Leaders and Workers at a meeting held at a local hotel in the Chowk Rawal Pindi committee under the presidency of the former provincial candidate and central leader Banaras Chaudhry.
Tauqeer Abbasi, Iqbal Khattak, Tariq Waheed Butt, Assembly Candidate Adel Malik, Tahir Ikram Chaudhry, District Information Secretary Muhammad Shahid, Women Wing -Leader Gulnaz Badshah, Councilor Rabia and Shazia Batool were also at the meeting. While approaching the collection, he said that instead of the workers who sacrificed, the former MD Baitul Mal Aamir Paracha took his business partners, friends, acquaintances, employees and a few workers t eid Milan party in the president’s residence.
The dedicated workers were not even informed of the event. They accused the “selfie mafia” of causing irreparable damage to the Rawalpindi PPP group. They said that while workers go to jail and sacrifice as the opportunity arose to meet the management, Aamir Paracha took his friends and staff to the event. They claimed they have sacrificed for the party for the last 30 to 50 years.
They demanded that President Asif Zardari, President Bilawal Bhutto and Asifa Bhutto to hold open courts for workers in Islamabad two to three times a week and listen directly to their complaints. They claimed that certain elements with access to management give them misleading reports.
