Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif claims while approaching a provincial cabinet meeting on Monday, “Not only does we give a zero tax budget, but the largest development budget. The previous development budget was also a record, we will also break all our own items. to impose emergencies. ”
The minister said that 100 innovative programs and projects had started in Punjab, 700 roads were built and the construction and expansion of 12,000 km of roads is a record.
She added, “Full attention is focused on the people, there is no example of such a hefty budget in health and education in history. Free medicine will be available everywhere. We will also meet our goal of providing significant facilities in government schools during this year.”
She emphasized that “a record of cleanliness was set all over the province of Eid. It is easy to increase the tax by increasing their rate, but instead we will focus on improving the tax network. If we build two or four large projects, it seems that a big job is done, but we have brought 100 new programs. More than 40,000 houses could not even build in 40 years, but we have completed them in a year.”
Main Minister Maryam Nawaz said, “I have remembered figures related to each department in the budget 2025-26, which will prove to be an unprecedented budget in the country’s history.”
She added, “We will consider the allocation of bonus to government employees on their performance, the minimum wage for a workers is set to RS40,000 per month.” She emphasized, “The wage system should be digitized. The rate of local debt in Punjab has fallen by record 94%.”
The minister said: “We present a historic public service package. Management is improved due to financial discipline.”
She added, “The whole progress will be presented in the provincial assembly, everyone will tell how much funds were used where. No scandal appeared because of e-Bud and good governance.”
