Previous draft first-round election Henry Ruggs was on a special release from the prison on Tuesday to attend Hope for the prisoner event in Las Vegas, only a few miles away from where he killed a woman while driving drunk at 156 mph.

“One, I wish I could turn back the hands of the time,” he said at the event, recorded in a video taken by Las Vegas Review journal. “I would love to meet the real Henry Ruggs and not the one who escaped something. I sincerely apologize for not only being part of this situation, but the fact that my face is always in the news, it is always in the newspaper. Ruggs apologized by his penalty and added that his behavior was “not a true reflection” on who he is.
