A woman and a child were killed and two others were injured when a quick sand -loaded dumping truck overturned on a car near Karachi’s Drigh Road in the early hours on Tuesday.
After being informed, rescue teams rushed to the stage and moved the bodies and they wounded to the hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.
The original reports suggest that the vehicle was crushed under the heavy dumps, resulting in deadly consequences.
A representative of a local welfare organization, Shahid Hussain, has confirmed that the fatal road accident took place around 2 p.m. 03.15 during a dangerous run between dumps trucks.
In a speech with the media on stage, Shahid Hussain said one of the dumps overturned during the race and crushed a private car with a family. “A woman and a child were killed on the spot while two others sustained injuries,” he added.
The spokesman criticized Dumperchauffer’s reckless behavior and called for strict enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such deadly events in the future.
