In the midst of the ongoing Israeli Iranian military conflict, Pakistani users of social media seem to believe in the claim that a Protestrally was held in Israel, and called on Pakistan to help stop Iran’s retaliatory attack.
The claim is false. The video is AI-generated.
Assertion
On June 18, a user of X (formerly Twitter) published a 13 -second video clip with the caption: “Now the Israeli Jews Pakistan asks for help and said that Pakistan will save us and help us stop the attacks from Iran.”
In the footage, people can be seen carrying Israeli flags and posters with Hebrew writing and singing, “Stop Iran. Pakistan, only you can help. Pakistani people, stop Iran.”
At the time of writing, the video had been viewed over 96,600 times, repositioned over 490 times and liked over 1,100 times.
Fact
An independent analysis confirms that the video was created using artificial intelligence tools.
GEO FACT CHECK Used Attestive, a US-based AI content and digital forensic platform, to examine the video. Attestive gave pictures taken from the clip a high manipulation score of 88, indicating that the content was not authentic.
GEO FACT CHECK Also used HIVE moderation, an AI-generated content detection platform that found that the video had been 84% probably generated by artificial intelligence.
There are also visible deviations in the recordings. Some of the faces appear overly smooth, a well -known marker of Deepfake content identified by my Media Lab Research.
Separately, no OS or Israeli news output reported on such a protest that takes place in Israel.
Judgment The video was artificially generated and does not show a real protest in Israel.
