Pakistan calls on citizens to avoid traveling to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong travel advice and urged citizens to avoid traveling to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria due to the deteriorating security situation in the region.

In an official statement released on Thursday, the Foreign Office said the advisory was aimed at ensuring the security and security of Pakistani citizens and advising them to postpone all non-essential trips to the four countries so far.

“Pakistani citizens who are currently residing in these countries are advised to exhibit extreme caution, remain vigilant and minimize non-significant movement,” the ministry said.

The advisory consequence of increased regional tensions and security threats, although no specific incident was cited. However, the ministry denied reports circulating on social media, suggesting a closure of the border between Pakistan-Iran.
