I spent a good bit of today’s threads thoroughly confused by what I needed to do. For starters, I have never heard the term ‘goose eggs’ – which apparently means ‘nothing’, but which I think can mainly be an American sports designation and therefore not use as a hint for people like me who have no interest at all in American sports. That said, it apparently comes from the British expression ‘Duck’s Egg’, which then found its way into the cricket – a sport I love. So maybe I should have guessed.
Either way, my first tip gave me NADA, and without idea at this point, what the hint meant I was still in the dark. Another tip gave me zero at what time I realized what the goal was.
Finding the answers, however, was not so easy, especially BUPKIS – another word that was completely foreign to me until today.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
