Rawalpindi:
The special court against terrorism has once again postponed hearings in the May 9 riots, including the high-profile general headquarters (GHQ) attacking case, which is now being re-planned for June 26.
No procedures were held on Saturday when Judge Amjad Ali Shah was on leave. GHQ Attack Case Case has been pending for over a month.
A meeting of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judges from across Punjab was called on Friday under the supervision of surveillance by Judge Justice Shahbaz Rizvi.
During the meeting, the ATC judges presented status reports on all ongoing cases, including those related to the riots on May 9.
Justice Rizvi ordered the courts to accelerate the consultations of all pending cases. Despite the directive, the consultations of the GHQ attack and several other related cases were postponed again on Saturday.
