At least six people have died and five others injured in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa such as heavy rain, storms and lightning-violent parts of the province since Friday, according to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Sunday.
The report said seven houses were damaged over the province. Of these, two were completely destroyed, while five partial damage. The events were reported from the districts of Mansehra, Buner, Lower and Upper Dir, Kohistan and Malakand.
PDMA has directed local district administrations to ensure immediate relief to affected families and provide the wounded quality to the wounded.
“The Emergency Operation Center of PDMA is fully functional and people can report any inappropriate incident to the auxiliary line 1700,” the statement says.
The authority said that assessments are in progress and further updates will follow when district teams continue to monitor the situation.

Last month, at least 11 people had lost their lives, and nearly 50 others sustained injuries in rain-related incidents over Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to KP Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), eight people were killed and 21 others wounded in different districts in the province after heavy rain and strong wind.
