Professional tennis players Maria Sakkari and Yulia Putintseva were seen in a heated clash after their match at The Bad Homberg Open on Sunday.
Sakkari defeated Putintseva 7-5, 7-6 (6) to move on to the next round of the tennis tournament. When the two competitors came to the net, Putintseva Sakkari’s hand failed and failed to make eye contact as she went against the chairman’s judge.

Sakkari began to jaw in Putintseva, and Putintseva responded with a curtsy. Sakkari didn’t seem to like what Putintseva was saying after that and stepped towards her side to tackle the comment.
“No one likes you,” Sakkari was heard tell tells Putintseva on the broadcast.
Sakkari turned to the incident in his interview after the match after Putintseva went against the dressing room.

“I don’t think she will invite me to dinner for the rest of our lives, but I don’t care about being honest,” she said via tennis.com. “I have very good friends and I go to dinner with them. Let me leave this and just say I have respect for her as a player, but that’s it.”
Sakkari went on to the 16th round waiting for her next opponent. The Greek star wants Wimbledon on her mind as she competes in this tournament. She has two career singles titles in her career and did so far as the third round of Wimbledon four times, including 2024.

Putintseva from Kazakhstan has three single titles in his career. She did so far as the fourth round of Wimbledon last year.
