A friend of King Charles has revealed the monarch’s reaction to Kate Middleton’s absence from Royal Ascot.
The princess of Wales did not join King Charles and Prince William, and it was reported that she was “disappointed” for not walking, but would find the right “balance” in her return to full -time royal tasks after she recovered from cancer.
Kate and William’s Friends have assured that King Charles was not bothered by the princess of Wale’s decision to miss the horse race.
Pals claimed, “Charles is a very thoughtful and considerate man. He goes through cancer himself, so he will fully understand. He knows everything about good days and bad days, physically and mentally.”
However, a source close to the monarch says other and that the “slightly vague” reasons for “balance” have shown the “simmering tension” with King Charles.
The insides continued to say that it all comes down to the family’s personal preferences.
“There is a view in some quarters that Kate just doesn’t like racing and therefore didn’t make an effort.
“It’s probably not fair, but you have to wonder if she would have missed Wimbledon that she loves.”
“I’m sure she was really unable to come, but still the last minute of nature of the way it was announced, the king makes the king not respect,” the insids said further.
