The White House responds to San Jose State Transgender Volleyball Investigation

A White House spokesman has made an exclusive statement relating to the recent Pakinomist Digital Report on a third-party allegations of offense against former San Jose State Volleyball player Blaire Fleming.

Pakinomist Digital reported on Tuesday that the Mountain West conference hired the company Willkie Farr & Gallagher (WFG) to investigate allegations against Fleming of conspiracy with an opponent to get teammate Brooke Slusser injured during an October. Mountain West hired this company to handle the investigation in the same month that the same company represented the conference to protect Fleming’s eligibility in a request for preliminary injunction to have the trans athlete disqualified from women’s competition.

President Donald Trump’s administration launched the Title IX investigation of SJSU in February, and he previously referred to the situation during the volleyball season 2024 while campaigns for the November election. As with any federal study, we will fully engage in the process, follow established procedures and remain transparent in our compliance with all applicable laws.

“While we comply with legal and regulatory requirements, San José State will continue to act within our authority to maintain the values ​​that define us as an institution. Our focus remains on our values, including promoting an environment that cultivates compassion where every student has the opportunity to thrive. We remain steadfast in our role as a place of learning, respect and opportunity and opportunity.”

HEAPHY reached out to San Jose State University Counsel Dustin May on February 6th after Trump’s administration launched Study of SJSU over the fleming situation.

“I saw an ESPN report that the Department of Education has opened a study by San Jose State University on the participation of a transgender volleyball player. May’s office initially responded to Pakinomist Digital’s request for comment after delivering public items requesting a list of questions and background information before they speak.
