- Alderon Games -Guster Matthew Cassells reports suspected liquid metal problems on PS5
- This was previously debunked but more players of Alderon Games’ Titan’s path have reported on the same problems
- This comes in the middle of the structure of GTA 6‘S Launch on May 26, 2026
Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 6 is angular closer with a launch date set to May 26, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S., but recent rumors of the previous console and its supposed hardware problems have left me a little worried about PS5 systems will survive until then.
As reported by WCCFTECH, the founder of Alderon Games (an indie game developer), Matthew Cassells, highlighted a recurring question about PS5 shutdowns from both players and staff in Titan’s path game. In particular, Cassells on Moore’s law death (via YouTube) claims the game goes down from fluid metal overheating problems.
Many players kept this suspicion of PS5 in the last few years with suggestions that the location of your console would vertically cause the liquid metal to escape and leave dry spots on the console’s APU. This was debunked, but the concerns have now reappeared, with more users now coming to frustrations over sudden shutdowns of console.
This is undoubtedly the worst time for these reports to reappear, as GTA 6 is ready for launch next year. It may seem like a long way ahead, but it comes to consoles before we expect, and if you own a PS5 like me, hearing about these questions can again cause you worried.
GTA 6 Does not come to PC (at least by launch) and is not expected to come to the platform for a year or more. The only players in the clear (if these liquid metal problems are legitimate) are Xbox owners and I’m not one of them. As much as I am pumped into Rockstar’s long awaited title, it would be difficult to buy another PS5 console, especially with the recent price fluctuations.
Look at
Analysis: Just place your PS5 horizontal to be on a safe page …
Fortunately, I have not found any problems with my PS5 since I bought it on the launch day of 2020. I would also notice that I have never placed it vertically on any TV device or desk, so if there is any legitimacy for the liquid metal problems, my system is likely to be safe.
There is also an added bonus with less dust structure when placed horizontally, and I can certify this as I have hardly seen any dust in my PS5. So my advice is to avoid leaving your console standing vertically, just to be on the safe side.
I must note that there is no guarantee that these reports of liquid metal problems are actually accurate, but I’d rather continue with caution, just in case. We have waited over a decade of GTA 6. It will have been 13 years when it is launched and I would hate to see my console die out on me on the most important phase.
GTA 6 (from today) The most expected game is throughout the time in my books, so let’s just hope that our systems don’t screw us over.
