Specifically, 12 millimeters of rain were registered on Shahrah-e-Faisal, nine millimeters in old urban areas, 7.8 millimeters in defense phase II, five millimeters at the airport and two millimeters on University Road.
PMD has indicated that the system over the region, which includes the Indian Gujarat area and the adjacent North Arabian Sea, is strengthened and is now a low pressure system.
This system is expected to bring intermittent rainfall to several areas of Sindh, especially in the lower and coastal regions, over the next two to three days.
Despite yesterday’s rainfall, the weather remains moist, with temperatures in the city in the area between 37 to 40 degrees Celsius.
The forecast predicts moderate to heavy rain from the afternoon to late tonight, with some areas that potentially experience thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain.
The Monsun Tull Form is expected to continue over Karachi and Sindh until July 1, with more rain showers expected in the coming days.
