Coas emphasizes the need for effectively civilian bureaucracy in Pakistan’s development

Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir said on Friday that Islamabad is seeking peaceful and cooperative relations with Afghanistan and warning Kabul against allowing Indian sponsored terrorist project to operate from his land.

“We only ask one thing: Don’t give way to India’s terrorist proxy-fitna al-Hind and Fitna al-Khawarij,” he emphasized, approaching officers of the 52nd joint training program in Islamabad.

He maintained that Afghanistan remains a “brotherly, neighboring Islamic country”, but it must act responsibly and limit the influence of enemy forces operating on its territory.

The COAs highlighted the crucial role of a transparent and effective civil bureaucracy in national development, which emphasized that its service -based structure is indispensable in the state system.

He also emphasized the need for institutional cohesion and mutual understanding between civil and military leadership.

During their training, the officers had been closely linked to Pakistan Army formations in operational areas such as Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In its address, COAs discussed national security, internal and external challenges and the important role of armed forces in protecting regional peace and stability.

He urged officers to embody the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and patriotism in their duties.

He further emphasized the importance of interinstitutional cooperation and mutual respect for promoting Pakistan’s strategic and developmental goals.

Coas’s remarks also emphasized the need for a skilled civil bureaucracy to effectively govern state affairs and contribute to the country’s development.

He further expressed his belief that such cooperation between civil and military sectors would help strengthen Pakistan’s attitude on the global scene.
