Arizona Diamondbacks Star second Baseman Ketel Marte was in tears during a pitching change in the seventh round of the team’s 4-1 victory over Chicago White Sox At Rate Field Tuesday after an opposite fan made a comment about his late mother.
Mares mother, Elpidia Valdez, died in a car accident in the Dominican Republic in 2017.
The incident resulted in the tab that made the comment was banned indefinitely from MLB Ballparks, and an outflow of support for Marte.

31-year-old All Star revealed what the tab said about his mother during an interview about “Danny Beisbol” on Thursday.
Marte claimed the tab shouted, “I sent your mother a text last night.” Marte made the allegations in Spanish, but it was translated through subtitles on the podcast.
“What happened was in the seventh lap I came to bats. I’m ready on the record and I hear this fan shouting. He was on top of dugout,” Marte said. “He shouted at me and said things about my mother. He was like ‘I sent your mother a text last night.’ When everything happened to my mother, I was here in Chicago.
He added fan behavior is “to get out of hand.”

MLB provided a statement relating to the incident.
“We praise White Sox for taking immediate action to remove the fan,” MLB said in a statement to Pakinomist Digital.
Diamondbacks played White Sox again on Wednesday and White Sox showed a message on their scoreboard to support Marte in the first place.
“Baseball is family: White Sox community supports Ketel Marte,” the message said.
Diamondbacks’ Manager Torey Lovullo comforted the tearful marte on the haug and put his arm around him during a pitching change in the seventh lap.
“It was a terrible moment. Fans are ugly. Fans go too far,” an emotional Lovullo told journalists after the game.
Lovullo added that he told Marte that he was not alone and that the Heckler was “an idiot.”

Diamondbacks Shortstop Geraldo Perdomo called for the tab to be banned after the game ended on Tuesday.
“It can’t happen,” Perdomo said. “We can’t continue to do it… here In Mlb“
In 52 games, the two-time all-star has a .316 batting average with 14 homemakers and 31 RBIs.
