PTI has strongly condemned the Supreme Court’s judgment in the case reserved seats and calls it a violation of constitutional and democratic principles. In a statement released by PTI’s central media department on Friday, Imran Khan’s party described the verdict as a "Continuation of state oppression" and "A robbery of the public mandate". Once again, PTI’s constitutional right has been looted through a court bench, it says. The declaration noted that the Supreme Court had previously decided to PTI’s advantage and recognized its right to the reserved seats, but that it has now opposed that attitude. The statement added that this judgment trampling the spirit of justice, people’s vote and the right to representation. "PTI presented constitutional points and legal arguments for judicial forums for several months, but it has become clear that the courts exist only to serve the elite."
PTI claimed that the reserved seats were distributed "Like war spoil" Among parties who lacked public support, it called an obvious mockery of democracy. It went on to say: "This judgment marks one of the darkest days in Pakistan’s constitutional history. "We can be disappointed with the courts, but not by the people. And we know the victory eventually belongs to the truth, the Constitution and Imran Khan," said that. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the decision. In a statement, he congratulated the government’s legal team and appreciated it for the tireless work. He said that the correct interpretation of the law in the decision established supremacy of the Constitution and the law. He urged the opposition to work with the government and play his positive role in development and prosperity in the country.
