5.5 earthquakes in order of magnitude strikes Balochistan

At least three people were injured on Saturday when an earthquake of 5.5 size hit the Musa Khel district and its nearby areas in Balochistan.

The shakes were marked throughout the region, with the Earthquake’s episents located 56 kilometers northeast of Musa Khel at a depth of 28 kilometers, according to the earthquake’s surveillance center.

The earthquake caused considerable damage to Musa Khel, where two houses were destroyed and three other joints partial damage.

Rescue sources confirmed that three residents were wounded due to the collapsed buildings. Fortunately, the injuries were reported as minor.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has already initiated relief operations in the affected area.

The PDMA spokesman stated that teams assess the full scale of the damage and distribute tents to offer temporary shelter to those displaced by the earthquake.

Previously, shaking was reported in Barkhan’s district, Balochistan. There were no immediate reports of injuries or injuries.

According to the US geological study, the earthquake that hit Barkhan had a size of 3.9 and occurred at a depth of 12 kilometers. Its episent was located 59 kilometers northwest of Barkhan.

Authorities monitored the situation, although no significant effects were noted.
