Charlize Theron, the Oscar-winning actress and long-standing activist, has issued a cool warning.
On the fifth annual Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program Block Party at the Universal Party on Saturday, June 28, the 49-year-old South African American actress and film producer gave sharp comments about the significant cuts to foreign help and women’s rights.
Theron said, “The world feels like it is burning because it is. Here in Los Angeles, in the US and all over the globe, we move backwards quickly.”
“Immigration policy is destroying family life, not criminals. Women’s rights are getting smaller and less every day, queer and trans life are increasingly deleted, and gender -based violence is increasing. This is not just politics, it’s personal. Fuck them,” she noted.
The atomic blonde star continued to state that the cuts to foreign aid have “brought HIV and AIDS programs into my homeland in South Africa to an absolute standstill. All this is not just harmful, it is dangerous. People will lose their lives. Many people already have a scary speed.
For the unwarterized is the important part of the agenda of President Donald Trump’s administration to cut foreign assistance but Atomic Blonde Actress refrained from mentioning Trump’s name.
It is relevant to mention that Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) was started 18 years ago to support young people in her homeland, South Africa, and so far the programs supported by CTAOP have relieved more than 4.5 million young people and distributed $ 15 million to organizations in southern Africa.
