The trial, which accused Byu -Quarterback Jake Retzlaff of Sexual Assault, was reportedly rejected.
Retzlaff’s lawyers and the woman who accused him of sexual assault in his apartment in November 2023, on Monday filed a joint movement in Salt Lake City’s 3rd District Court of dismissing the case per year. More reports.
The common movement comes because of “prejudice and over the benefits of the applicant’s complaint against the defendant”, which translates that the applicant is unable to revive the case.

This comes after Retzlaff allegedly intended to transfer from Byu when he expected a seven-game-pension due to breaking the university’s honor code. After a year of eligibility as a graduate student, Retzlaff could move on to make sure he plays a whole season before a potential leap into the NFL.
Byu is run by the church of Jesus Christ by the holy of the last days, and it is a violation of the school’s honor code. It is a strictly set of rules that instruct students to “live a chaste and virtuous life”, according to Salt Lake Tribune.

While Retzlaff is not a Mormon, all students who are enrolled in BYU must follow the code of honor.
A woman referred to as Jane Doe AG accused Retzlaff of sexual assault in a trial filed in May. Retzlaff was sued for alleged battery, assault and intentional application of emotional distress for an alleged incident in his apartment in November 2023.
Retzlaff, 22, was not criminal.

The woman claimed that she met Retzlaff via social media before she agreed to visit him in his apartment to play video games, per. Espn.
The original complaint claimed that Retzlaff put her hands around the woman’s neck and raped her after trying to leave his apartment, according to ESPN. However, new archives on the last Friday had Retzlaff, who denied the allegations and claimed that the two engaged in consensual sex.
“Mr. Retzlaff specifically denies and categorically every single claims that he is biting, raping or suffocating [the woman]which are ridiculous and biting accusations that are all false and untrue, ”Retzlaff’s lawyers wrote via ESPN.
Retzlaff’s lawyers also accused the woman of extortion and claimed that Quarterback never heard from her for more than a year. But now that he is “an NFL draft of the view”, the trial came out, USA Today reported with reference to Friday’s archiving.
Retzlaff transferred to Byu in 2023, and he led the road in 2024 with an 11-2 record for Cougars.

While the trial is rejected, Retzlaff is still facing the suspension of Byu, as he said in his denial of accusations that he claims they had consensus sex.
It is unknown where Retzlaff will transfer or which teams may be interested in him for this year.
