Rawalpindi:
The construction of Nawaz Sharif -Flyover at Khawaja Corporation Chowk on Adiala Road has been completed and the transition is opened to public traffic.
Although an official inauguration was scheduled for June 30 by Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz, the ceremony has been postponed.
Flyover, which has been completed at a price of RS2.3 billion, is part of a larger infrastructure development project that includes two underground and an underground pedestrian street on Mall Road.
These projects, built at a price of over RS4.38 billion, are also completed. However, they remain closed until the minister of chief gives a new dedication date.
According to the Punjab Communication and Works Department officials, once approved approval, Mall Road is also opened for public use, corresponding to the early opening of Nawaz Sharif Flyover.
Meanwhile, plans have been completed for the construction of additional undercuts at Qasim Market, Race Course and President of Cross on Peshawar Road. A proposal for two flyovers and three subordons in Kachehri Chowk is also under consideration, although no official timeline of the Punjab government has been announced for the start of the work on these projects.
