Social media was on fire when it was revealed that Caitlin Clark received the ninth most votes among other WNBA All-Stars for the top guard.
There are three voting groups for the WNBA All-Star process: Fan Rank, Media Rank and Player Rank for The Guards and Frontcourt players. While Clark was first in fan voices (received over 1 million and crushed his own record from last year), and thirdly among the media, her colleagues ranked Wnba players ninth among the guards.
Clark ended up in second place among all players pretty much because fan -voices accounted for 50% of the votes to determine Starters – Dallas Wings Rookie and No. 1 Collected Election Paige Bueckers took the top place.

Clark has been injured and has struggled recently and goes only 13-of-47 from three-point territory in his last three games and is missing six of Indiana Fever’s 16 games this season.
However, lots of social media users said it was more evidence of jealousy over NCAA’s leading goal scorer.
“They protect her as if she’s prime [Michael] Jordan, celebrating trying to hurt her and tone down her influence every chance that they can … W is so full of elite levels, and they just don’t even hide it anymore, ”Barstools Kayce Smith wrote on social media.
“She is easily the best player in the league. These girls are ridiculous,” wrote another.
“What fun league filled with small and jealous women. They hate her but she is on her own reason why they all make more money. A simple thanks would you probably be a good start. What a clown show this league is,” another added.
Robert Griffin III, who noticed that the votes were on average, said, “So that means some players intentionally voted her out of the top 15 for her to land # 9,” and asked the players to “stop hate.”
“Da Jordan, LeBron [James]Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Usain Bolt, Tom Brady and [Lionel] Messi came on stage, everyone didn’t like them, but they recognized their greatness and respected it while competing their ass to stop them. They did not voted them low on purpose, ”wrote Griffin III in a comprehensive post.

A social media user published a comparison of Clark’s statistics with Natasha Cloud’s, which was ranked fourth among his peers.
Clark is an average of 18.2 points, 8.9 assists, five rebounds and 1.6 steal over 33.3 minutes per minute. Match this season. Only Phoenix Mercury’s Alyssa Thomas has several assists per day. Fight (9.3) and she has touched the hardwood in 12 competitions this season.

Clark and Minnesota Lynx leader Napheesa Collier will be this year’s All-Star captains.
