Islamabad:
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was chairman of a follow -up meeting on Tuesday in the management committee on the import of sugar.
After previous considerations, the committee confirmed the decision to import 500,000 tonnes of sugar through both Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) and the private sector.
Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the government’s obligation to ensure a stable supply of significant raw materials at affordable prices. The meeting attended Minister of National Food Safety Rana Tanveer Hussain, SAPM Tariq Bajwa and others.
