Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday praised Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for his continued support for the ruling coalition and confirmed that PPP remains a trusted ally, despite the Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which secured a simple majority in the National Assembly.

In a speech with journalists at Data Darbar, Dar said the current government was originally formed with critical support from PPP. “When we started, our numbers were incomplete without them. We have excellent cooperation and they have expanded full support for us,” he said. “Those who stand by you in difficult times are not abandoned when things get better.”

DAR noted that both parties had signed a formal agreement, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, representing PML-N and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari signing on behalf of PPP. “This agreement is a sacred document for us, and we are fully obliged to its implementation.”
