Mexico has now won his 10th gold cup throughout all time and extended their record after defending their title in 2023.
The United States immediately came to the board when midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, the son of former head coach Gregg Berhalter, placed a free kick in the perfect position for Chris Richards to direct the ball from the cross bar and over the finish line to make it 1-0.
